About Bedford
Built for the call nobody else answers
Bedford Plumbing Drain Pros — a 24/7 emergency plumbing and drain operation dispatched from Williamsburg, covering Brooklyn and western Queens.
Most plumbing companies are built around the scheduled visit. Bedford is built around the emergency: the burst pipe at 2am, the sewage backup on Thanksgiving, the no-heat call in the middle of a January cold snap. The whole operation — live dispatch, trucks staged in Williamsburg, a stabilize-first protocol — is organized so that when water is where it shouldn't be, the phone gets answered and a truck gets moving.
The second half of the job is paperwork, and we take it as seriously as the wrench work. Water losses turn into insurance claims, co-op board reviews, and neighbor disputes. Every Bedford job closes with a photo log and an itemized written estimate formatted for carriers and property managers — so the 2am emergency doesn't turn into a 2-month argument.
The protocol
Answer. Dispatch. Stabilize. Document.
Answer
The phone is answered live, 24/7 — nights, weekends, holidays. You talk to dispatch, not a voicemail, and we take the address and the problem in under two minutes.
Dispatch
A truck is assigned while you're still on the line. Emergencies inside our Brooklyn core zone get same-hour dispatch; you get a real ETA, not a window.
Stabilize
First priority on arrival is stopping the damage — shutoff, containment, extraction. The bleeding stops before the paperwork starts.
Document
Photo log, moisture readings where relevant, and an itemized written estimate formatted for insurance carriers, co-op boards, and property managers.
